What I am and What I do:

I am an ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in Evidence Based Medication Management for an array of psychiatric problems.  I serve neuro-typical and neuro-atypical individuals ages 5 and up who have isolated or co-morbid psychiatric problems.  Some examples of these are General Anxiety Disorder, Panic, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Long COVID Syndrome.

Approach and Experience

My approach

I am attentive and actively listen to the areas of concerns expressed by my clients in an effort to develop an individualized treatment program.  I gather a complete history from inter-utero development on, emphasis on development, onset of maladaptive symptoms, family history and then I offer evidenced based medication recommendations guided by science and experience with a “less is best mindset”-starting low and going slow until symptoms are addressed.  We work together to assist in addressing your symptoms and steering you to wellness.  I also often perform pharmacogenomics testing using GeneSight or Genomind to determine how your genes interact with psycho-trophic medications.  If needed, I can also refer you for neuro-modulation in the event that your symptoms are treatment resistant to medications and therapy.

Training and Experience

I have 30 years of experience working with clients as a Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Practice Nurse.  I received my training from the University Of Pennsylvania –School of Nursing Graduate Program in Psychiatry and did a post graduate program at the YWCA in Rape-Trauma and Dissociative Identity Disorders.  After completion of this, I opened a private practice.  Over the years, I concurrently worked for Johnson and Johnson on development teams for neurotropic medications, managed the Psychiatric Department for Bancroft Neuro-health, Treated Opiate Patients at a Methadone Clinic, consultant for children at Archway School Programs, consultant for the Volunteers of America assisting prisoners re-integration,, Consultant for Bancroft Wesley Campus and currently a Lead PMHAPN in Cooper University Hospital Department of Psychiatry.  Over all of these experiences, I continue to serve my private patients.  I love what I do.
